Thread of Faith

By: Naa Doodua Doodu

A thousand miles commence with a singular step.

A community united, forging a familial bond anchored in love, care, and intertwined connections.

When doubt infiltrates our hearts and familiar visages evoke despair,

Abandonment appears to be the sole recourse, yet it is the burden most arduous to bear.

Life’s splendor diminishes, and hope flickers dimly,

But the compassion and love for the future resolutely refuse to relinquish their hold.

In the face of disdain, faith falters,

Yet strangers emerge as luminous beacons, steadfastly clinging to hope we feared would wane.

They fortify the strands of faith, reigniting love’s ardent flame,

Nurturing it to flourish robustly, a bond transcending mere blood or name.
