LIFE AS A JOURNEY

By: Belaar Jackline

Life is an odyssey,

It is undeniably a voyage,

A journey devoid of straight paths,

Yet the destination remains shrouded in mystery,

A pilgrimage not by choice but by necessity,

I was never consulted about my inception,

But once I emerged, I was compelled to traverse that road known as LIFE toward the enigmatic destination.

Then I grasped that it requires fortitude to ascertain how I shall arrive at my destination.

I inhaled deeply and pondered, but HOW?

Then I contemplated: Perhaps my association and communication with the creator of all creations could illuminate my path to the destination.

Yet again, I inquired HOW?

For though the sun radiates brilliantly, the journey appears obscured,

There exists a road replete with myriad curves, yet no traffic signals to guide us, causing us to stumble upon one another.

I journeyed alongside others, amidst a cacophony of sounds, yet deep within, I sensed an undercurrent of silence and isolation.

It is arduous to persevere, perilous to remain stagnant, and impossible to retreat.

But before I could pose the next question, how?

I heard a voice proclaiming, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE; no one approaches the Father except through me.”

I exhaled in relief and reassured myself,

The vehicle to my destination is HOPE, FUELED by TRUST and driven by JESUS.

Only then will the once obscure destination be revealed as the HOME of the Creator of all Creations (GOD).
