One fateful night, as I embarked on a weekend program for work, a sudden realization struck me like a bolt of lightning. What was meant to be a week-long endeavor was abruptly cut short after just four days due to unforeseen circumstances. Amid my excitement to reunite with my beloved, I had failed to inform her of my early return.
As I made my way home, the streets seemed eerily quiet, the only sound being the love songs playing softly in the background. My mind was consumed with thoughts of the one who held my heart, a smile playing on my lips at the mere thought of her. Lost in my world, I suddenly felt compelled to glance across the street. What I saw shattered my world in an instant. My heart sank, and the light in my eyes dimmed as I realized my dreams had been shattered before my very eyes. The pain was palpable, the betrayal cutting deep into my soul.
