I often catch myself entertained by the thought that if I were to depart the firm, I would be unhappy. My boss seems to have forgotten the simple reality—I was wooed by numerous top-tier institutions way before I decided to work with his firm. I came in with only one aim in mind, that of assisting it to grow and promoting its agenda. His impression is created by the fact that I defied him on something which was not just in the firm.
Before joining his company, I was a high performer in my previous role as a group leader for a multinational corporation with branches worldwide. I had a great team, winning contracts that made our name. Although successful, I was pushed out of my workplace after suffering injustice like low pay and bad incentives for members of my team. Being true to what I believed earned me the label of a polarizing leader. To protect my earned reputation, I left the company with dignity.

After my resignation, I became an overnight sensation. Calls bombarded me from several multinational firms, asking me to offer my services in monopolizing and strategizing the print business. Reluctant to accept any appointments initially, I eventually agreed to offer my services to a small firm, bent on helping it establish itself before bidding farewell once it gained stability.
