A Journey Towards Print Perfection

Franciscan Press

I could always have so much respect for great printing. But every time I went traveling, I was always let down. Much too frequently, I was presented with fuzzy paper, crooked printing plates, and finished products which were so far from the professional. For decades, I assumed that actual greatness in printing only occurred in major cities like Accra — where industry moguls were said to practice their arts.
That assumption was shattered when I got a press that totally transformed my perceptions.
Based in Takoradi, the Conventual Franciscan-owned Franciscan Press is a refuge of professionalism and integrity in the printing industry. Whether printing business, books, or specialty paper items, their output is always perfect — a rare mix of precision, strength, and beauty.
What Franciscan Press is differentiated by is not equipment or materials — it’s their unwavering respect for quality. They do it tediously, each project an extension of themselves. Disbelieve me if you must, but I dare you to go through Manasseh Azure Awuni’s book, The President Ghana Never Had. The quality of the print in this book is self-explanatory — crisp, neat, and pleasing to the eye. It’s a testament to what can be done with printing.
Printing at Franciscan Press is not a commodity. It’s an approach. It’s a dedication to quality, page by page.
