A Second Chance at Love

By: Naa Doodua Doodu

Everything seemed to fall apart,
Deception, grief, and pain,
The ones I thought loved me turned against me,
Stabbed in the back, I decided not to love anymore.

I gave my all to give us the best we needed,
But all pointed hands at me, mocked me, and despised me.
I wish I had obeyed my mom, but love blinded me,
I thought he was the best.

I fell for his gentle and kind personality,
Not knowing he was the devil in disguise.
I felt empty inside, so I decided to give up on love.
But fate had other plans for me.

On the way to end it all,
I met this gentle soul who taught me to love again.
God gave me a chance to see how much He truly loves me.
