Celebrating without love is like a tree without roots – it just doesn’t work. You can’t just think about yourself when you’re having a good time, you gotta think about others too. Love should be at the heart of everything we do, pushing us forward and keeping us going when things get tough.
During religious celebrations, people often go out of their way to treat everyone in their community, especially in places where people of different faiths get along well. I’ve had a blast at Muslim celebrations as a Christian, and vice versa. It’s always cool to see kids from different backgrounds coming together to share a meal and have a good time.
People of all ages get pumped up when religious holidays are coming up because they know it’s a time for love and togetherness. Sharing and caring are the main themes, and they bring everyone closer together. This sense of unity and tolerance is something that Ghanaians are good at, and it’s what makes our country so special.
I recently went around during Christmas and saw how the older folks in our community were making the holiday special for the kids. It was awesome to see them getting involved and making sure the younger generation had a great time. When adults take care of the young ones, it sets them up to be amazing people in the future.
