The Light I Found

August 27, 2025 · 1 response

I searched for love but found none,
Twisting and turning beneath the sun.
No soul appeared within the light
Only silence, only night.

Just as hope began to fade,
A sudden brilliance pierced the shade.
It lit the corners I’d never dreamed,
Where even darkness lost its gleam.

I thought it was the moon’s soft glow,
But then your light began to show.
Radiant, rare, beyond compare,
Adorning all the evening air.

Your smile revealed a heart so true,
A quiet grace that carried through.
Your hair, with pearls and golden thread,
Spoke of beauty heaven-bred.

Not just your face, but all you are
Reflects the light of One afar
A Maker’s hand, so heavenly spun,
In you the love that I could not avoid.
