Unwanted Farewell

March 20, 2025 · 4 responses

Whoever thought I’d never see this day
Made the gravest mistake of all.
My heart leaps from my body,
Like rain fleeing the skies.

When I hear the thief of life
Knocking at my door,
Whispering it’s time to bid farewell
To the one I hold most dear.

Whenever I see you, my spirit falters.
Don’t visit me unannounced.
Promise you’ll let me know
Before you come again.

Fare thee well all gone souls

  1. We have a journey to embark. A journey no one escapes. May God be with our dear ones who have taken the lead, till we meet again at Jesus’ feet.
