Resilient Grace

By: Naa Doodua Doodu

I bow my head in shame, for I have failed them,
Locked myself in a prison, crafted in my mind.
How do I break free from these shackles that bind,
On the verge of collapse, my spirit unaligned.

My mental state was in tatters, torn apart,
Until he looked at me and spoke from the heart:
“Hold on tight—you will bounce back stronger;
The Lord will plead your cause, so hold out longer.”

With trust in him, I knew it would be alright,
To rise again and face the coming light.
I shall live to tell my story, faith as my guide,
For it’s not over yet, with God by my side.

This too shall pass; our trials will fade,
And we’ll grow stronger, from lessons made.
Together, we’ll stand and fight another day,
Growing more successful along the way.
