Hands pierced, feet pierced—a dream of a man,
The pain of this mark becomes another’s joy.
How beautiful it is to bear the wounds of Christ!
A man who left all behind to follow Him,
Choosing poverty to serve God with his whole being.
Seraphic Father of the Poor,
A saint we all aspire to become.
